The CFA Society Atlanta will host the 73rd CFA Institute Annual Conference from May 17 to 20 at the Georgia World Congress Center. The four-day conference will focus on sustainable investment, capital markets, and tech, among other topics, and include the following three featured speakers:
1. Annie Duke - A renowned poker player, Duke is the author of the best-selling book Thinking in Bets: Making Smarter Decisions When You Don't Have All the Facts. She is also a co-founder of the nonprofit How I Decide, which works with youth to improve their decision-making skills.
2. Michael Lewis - A Bloomberg News columnist and New York Times best-selling author, Lewis has written more than 16 books on various subjects. These books include Moneyball, Flash Boys, and The New New Thing, which cover topics such as baseball and market value, Wall Street and frequency trading, and the growth of Silicon Valley as a hub for technology.
3. Laura Vanderkam - In addition to hosting the Before Breakfast podcast, Vanderkam has authored multiple books on productivity and time management. These include Off the Clock: Feel Less Busy While Getting More Done and I Know How She Does It: How Successful Women Make the Most of Their Time. Her TED talk, "How to Gain Control of Your Free Time," has more than 8 million views.
